This week was very exciting in our mini league and the places have changed quite dramatically. We have a new leader with quite an amazing score. Also this week we will see how good the England team will play against Bulgaria on Friday night 3rd September 2010. I'm sure Mr Capello is fully aware that there needs to be some drastic changes if we are going to stand a chance in the Euro 2012 competition, so I hope the boy comes good tomorrow night. But things are not going to change overnight and 1 victory is not going to impress the media or me.

Anyway here is the Mini League as it stands to date:

Did someone mention 6? Just 6? Or 666? 6 what? 6-0 to Chelsea or 6-0 to Arsenal or 6-0 to Newcastle? Yes folks this weekend was a 6 goal fest for the 3 teams, quite spectacular and Theo Walcott managed a hatrick too. Common you Gooners! And so did Carroll for Newcastle.

Being top of the premiership on the first day must seemed like a century ago now for Blackpool who have joined the premiership. And what about the other team Wigan? Oh dear along comes Chelsea and gives them a right hiding.

Well I guess it is. No more sunshine, it was raining yesterday and now today it's so windy outside. Congratulations to all our customers who entered into our Mini-League. And after the first weekend of the season I can confirm that North London Logistics are top of the League. There were a few upsets too at the weekend and a staggering 39% of the teams submitted had picked Joe Cole the Liverpool player who got sent off which means he was subjected to -3 points. On the brighter side if you had Drogba in your team you would have scored 28 points just from him alone. Which alot of our top teams had. Below is the list of the Mini-league as it stands to date:

Congratulation to Nathan Jones and Charlie Eles for being the first of many drivers to be rewarded for their success in driving sales for PPL. Each received a cash prize and Wembley tickets to watch England vs Hungary on the 11th August 2010. I know they worked extremely hard for this and I hope they will continue to be major players in our sales efforts for our Destination TEN competition.

Tip of the Week:  Choose a lucky Dip team and then edit it to put in the expensive players.

We wish to congratulate Toby Morris from Charlies Wholesale International on winning in our World Cup Dream Team 2010 competition

Toby and Anne White were both invited to PPL and taken out to lunch in one of the fine cuisine restaurants in Wembley Stadium and were later presented with their prize of £200.

The second prize was also sent out to John Braithwaite at Castor Ltd bagging him £100 and the third prize of £50 went to Liam Ellesmore from  Sunset Entertainment.

As for the Golden Boot and Golden Glove prizes they were both won by Stuart Dunfield from Crest Cosmetics Ltd, who must have had some kind of inside information to win both prizes of £75 and 2 bottles of Moet Chandon.
